chronic hiccups symptomsIs there an actual medical condition for the symptom of chronic squeaky sounding hiccups?

For over a year I've not had a normal hiccup, instead a squeaky sound with a feeling of tightness in the chest, almost like there is something blocking the hiccup. It happens every day about 20 times a day or more, I hiccup like this a few times an hour, even first thing in the mochronic hiccups symptomsrning, seems to have nothing to do with when I eat or what. Is this an actual medical condition, does it have a name? I know I should see my doctor and I will but I"d like to know if this is a common condition or side effect with a name that goes with it.
It's not uncommon. chronic hiccups symptoms Some people just have very loud hiccups. As for the frequency you have, that's certainly inconvenient. Some doctors do treat chronic hiccups with certain medicines, but some do so only you have hiccups for several days straight. Sounds as if you might qualify.
