play shooting gamesHow to convince my parents to let me play shooting games?

My parents won't let me play any shooting games. When I asked them they just said no. When I asked why they said we don't have to give you a reason why. What should I do?
I've got some ideas. Try to get them in the dinner table and have a little discussion about the violent games you want. If that doesn't work, try this: If there is a shooting game you want, ask them if you could rent it and get them to see you play the game.

When I was a kid (Around 11 years old), I wasn't allowed to play Half-Life, until I showed it to my parents and they knew that the main objective of this game was to kill the Xen aliens, so they allowed me to play the game (Sometimes you can kill humans in this game too).

Or you can tell them that it's the blood and/or gore that gives violent games an M rating, not the weapons/fighting and etc., for example, I'lplay shooting gamesl compare between the Tekken and Mortal Kombat. Both games have similar gameplay and violence, except Mortal Kombat additionally has blood and gore (Fatalities, Death Traps etc.) which gives Mortal Kombat an M rating while Tekken gets a T rating.

Hope this helps. Good luck!
Alright, first off don't ask on yahoo answers. None of these fruitcakes will give you an answer worthwhile.
Second, to convince your parents tell them you feel you're at a matured stage of your life, (regardless of age) and you want to have the freedom to experience different things in life. A video game could count as a life experience, tell them you feel you're mature enough to game and you won't allow the game to influence your actions in life. They should let you play it until you do something wrong. Good luck.

Respect what your parents say. play shooting gamesWhen you get older, you'll get to do whatever you want.

If you really want to play it badly, then give them incentives to allow you to. Do good in school, let them know that you're becoming mature and that you're responsible to keep a good balance of fun time + work time. And do it for a long time, and see how they respond then.
it might be your age. If you are above the age rating of a shooting game you want to play, then you should talk to your parents about that. If not, ask your parents, why? Tell them you'll buy the games and you won't become to obsessed.
